PRP Stretch Mark Repair

PRP Stretch Mark Repair

Duration

  • 45 to 90 minutes

Benefits

PRP Stretch Mark Repair (Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy) is a regenerative skin treatment that uses your own blood to heal and fade stretch marks. It is a natural, non-surgical alternative to lasers or chemical peels.

What is it?

PRP therapy involves extracting a small sample of your own blood, spinning it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, and then re-introducing that "liquid gold" plasma into your stretch marks.
The Mechanism: Stretch marks (striae) are essentially scars caused by the tearing of the dermis. Platelets contain growth factors that act as signal callers, telling your body to produce new collagen and elastin to bridge those tears and repair the skin's structure from the inside out.

  • Natural Tissue Regeneration: Unlike fillers or lasers, it uses your body's own biological material, eliminating the risk of allergic reactions.
  • Improved Texture & Color: It helps smooth out the "indented" feel of deep stretch marks and can help normalize the color of both red (new) and white (old) marks.
  • Increased Elasticity: By boosting elastin production, it makes the treated skin firmer and more resilient.
  • Minimal Downtime: Most people return to normal activities immediately, with only minor redness or swelling for a day or two.

Who is it good for?

  • Post-Pregnancy: Moms looking to treat "tiger stripes" on the abdomen or breasts.
  • Rapid Growth/Weight Changes: Individuals who developed marks during puberty or significant weight fluctuations.
  • All Skin Tones: Unlike some lasers that carry a risk of hyperpigmentation in darker skin, PRP is safe for all skin types.
  • Those Seeking "Natural" Results: People who prefer a holistic approach over synthetic chemicals or invasive surgery.

When is it Used?

  • For New Marks (Striae Rubra): It is highly effective when marks are still red or purple, as there is still active blood flow to the area.
  • For Old Marks (Striae Alba): It is used to soften and fade silver/white marks, though these typically require more sessions (3–6) to see a significant difference.
  • Combined with Microneedling: This is the most common usage. Microneedling creates "micro-channels" that allow the PRP to penetrate deeper into the dermis for better results.

Side Effects

Since PRP comes from your own body, serious side effects are extremely rare. However, you may experience:

  • Common: Redness, swelling, and a "sunburn" sensation in the treated area for 24–48 hours.
  • Minor: Small bruises at the blood draw site or where the injections occurred.
  • Rare: Infection (if the site isn't kept clean) or temporary skin irritation.
Standard treatment areas begin at $350.00, while extensive areas start from $500.00. Please note that final pricing is determined following a personalized clinical assessment by our nursing staff
